报告摘要：In this talk, we present a rigorous mathematical derivation for the classical phenomenon in Maxwell's theory that a charged particle moves along a straight line in a constant electromagnetic field if the initial velocity is parallel to the constant electromagnetic field. The particle is modeled by scaled solitons to a class of nonlinear Klein-Gordon equations. We show that the soliton is stable up to any given time. This is based on joint work with Shuang Miao and Pin Yu.

报告人简介：杨诗武，北京大学北京国际数学研究中心研究员、博士生导师。于2013年获得普林斯顿大学博士学位，之后去剑桥大学做博士后，2016年加入北京大学。研究方向是几何型双曲偏微分方程和数学广义相对论。在测地线假设、带电粒子衰减以及非线性波方程长时间渐近行为的研究上取得重要成果。目前已在CPAM，Camb. J. Math.，ARMA，CMP，Adv.Math.，Ann. PDE等数学期刊上发表多篇学术论文。2020年获阿里巴巴达摩院青橙奖。
