Academic Norms and Academic Ethics Education: In accordance with the requirements of Document No. 1 [2019] of the Department of Higher Education and Teaching, a compulsory course on "Academic Norms and Academic Ethics Education" (6 class hours, no credits) is offered. Newly enrolled graduate students must attend the "Academic Norms and Academic Ethics Education" lecture organized by the university and college at the beginning of enrollment. - New student education stage.
2. Thesis Topic Selection: Complete course learning and specified academic activities, determine the research direction, and carry out literature review and summary writing as required by the supervisor. Doctoral students must participate in the thesis proposal in the first semester of the second year and submit the printed materials of the thesis proposal. - 3rd semester.。
3. Academic Activities (including Innovation and Entrepreneurship Practice): Conducted in accordance with the "Regulations on the Management of Academic Activities of Graduate Students of Wuhan University of Technology". The total number of credits for academic activities is 2, and 1 credit can be obtained by completing half of the required academic activities. Doctoral students should obtain 1 academic activity credit before the thesis proposal and the remaining 1 credit before applying for the graduation defense. Doctoral students must attend at least one international academic conference and give an oral report at the conference. - 2nd to 5th semesters.
4. Practical Training: Carry out various forms of work and activities such as research assistantship, teaching assistantship, technological innovation, and social practice in accordance with the requirements and guidance of the supervisor, and complete the practical report. Credits ≥ 2. Doctoral students must give at least one academic report at the academic forum of the university and college during their studies. - 3rd to 5th semesters.。
5. Mid-term Assessment: The mid-term assessment of doctoral students is carried out six months to ten months after the approval of the thesis topic selection report. Doctoral students conduct self-inspection and write a summary report. The supervisor and the college conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the doctoral students, give specific opinions, and report to the Graduate School for review and filing. Only those who pass the mid-term assessment can continue to work on the thesis.
